Well, if you live anywhere in the Americas, East, South-East or West Asia, it doesn’t!
In fact, the top 25 cities for the best work-life balance are all in either Europe or Oceania with just one exception – Abu Dhabi, which came in 25th – and that’s if you can afford to live there!
Reading the article I discovered a new word – hygge. As it turns out, that word epitomises what work-life balance is all about:
hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about – or even by yourself – to relax and enjoy life’s quieter pleasures.

Meanwhile, as I write this in my WFH office in Brisbane, AU, the sun is shining, the (mid-winter) forecast is for a maximum of 22 degrees Celsius and the kookaburras, galahs, rosellas and magpies are all telling me ‘life’s good’.
