This road is made from plastic bags and toner cartridges!

Have you ever wondered where your recycled soft plastic bags end up?

In Port Coogee. Western Australia, 40,000 plastic shopping bags, 900 toner cartridges, 210kgs of crumbed tyre rubber and seven tonnes of recycled asphalt have ended up in this road! The product, called Reconophalt, was created by Australian company Downer.

Meanwhile, just around the corner (in Australian distances), another WA council has used 58,000 plastic bottles and 37,500 glass beer stubbies to pave a road in Willetton.

We might be saved yet!
